Well the Herky Beach Aug. 21st tourny has been moved to September 4th! This will be mens sand open dbls 14 team cap! AVP rules. We will try to start at 9 am on sat. 1st 2nd and 3rd will pay out! For more info and team entries pls call me Josh@ 5014630396

Format: Pool Play followed by a single elimination tournament

We will have divisions for
AA/open Mens 4's
AA/open Coed 4's (2girls)
Open Womens 4's
A Coed 4's
A Mens 4's
B Coed 5's
Womens 17 & under division
T-shirts, beer, wine as prizes and M.. prizes for AA/open Divisions
Hopefully MIF will have it up on their site under: "about mif", "sports".

Ccoop: You will play a round robin of your pool 2 games against each team, then be seeded via record.
If you have 4 teams in your pool you will play 6 games.
In the rare instance that there is a 3 team pool you will go twice. Then move to tourney.
Homer: You can register the day of, but you are taking a huge risk about not getting a spot. It is not uncommon to have to turn teams away for this tourney.
You can pre register: we don't M.. checks until after the day of the tourney, in the event of a rain out you can pick up your check the day of.

Email me at requesting MIF registration form and I will reply w/ it attached.

I forgot to say in the above post that typically each pool will have 5 teams which insure 8 games of pool play before moving on to tourney play. We will also do a "silver bracket" for the bottom half of teams in 2 pool divisions, so tourney play will be for all.
Time is the main factor in scheduling how many teams come out of pool play. We will announce the if/then's the morning of.

Freddie or group. I am looking to play this weekend in Mens 4's. Do you know anyone looking? I can play opposite and set or just stand in the corner and look semi pretty while the rest of the team does all the work...

Rumor has it this year that we will have active bathrooms in the gym, but I don't think we will have showers available. If I were you I would bring rag, bar of soap and a spare towel and take a "whores bath" using the sink. As of Friday afternoon we the womens division is full w/ 10 teams...way to go girls! We are jamming in 10 courts (usually only have 9) to accomodate an evolving tournament. I look forward to seeing you all tomorrow. Please bring shade a cooler w/ lots of ice and water. We will have some, but have been known to run out so COME PREPARED FOR HEAT!!

Pictures from this years tournament are going up now. As usual it was a terrific day of volleyball! Thank you Freddie and everyone that helped to make it happen.
